Tic Disorder

Tic Disorder is the experiencing of spasm like movements of particular muscles. It can be classified under:

  1. Simple motor tics- it includes eye blinking, nose twitching, head jerking and shoulder jerking.
  2. Complex motor tics- it is a continuous series of movements in a body over a period of time. Example: kicking of leg over and over again
  3. Phonic tics- It is an unintentional sound made by a child either continuously or after some periods of time. Example: humming, grumbling.

Tic disorder can be caused because of stress and serious sleep deprivations and its treatment can be done by simple lifestyle changes and by doctor’s guidance.
