Maintaining a balance: for a healthy life

What do you mean anyway????

Balance, it is something which allows you to think clearly, it is something which lets you walk without falling down and most importantly balance is what helps in peaceful existence of our planet, natural disasters like earthquakes, floods are a result when nature loses its balance, when we look down we are responsible for most of that. When it comes to our life, we don’t even realize when we have segregated towards the path of tension, stress, anxiety and insecurity because of the loss of that balance. Well to maintain balance you need to have discipline in your life, go back to our school days the most important thing which they taught us was discipline and maintaining a routine in life.

How does Imbalance begin?

Imbalance starts taking effect when your habits go against the nature, disturbance in sleeping cycle; irregular eating habits and low sense of personal hygiene all contribute in your life starting to go haywire. Impact then starts showing on your relationship with family and friends, your professional life starts getting affected. You then start to think that every single thing in your life is going wrong, your thought process starts to become clouded and you look ways to vent out that frustration on people who care about you and most importantly on your health, consumption of alcohol, excessive cigarette smoking and even substance use becomes your mechanism to deal with that imbalance, which takes effect into your life gradually and that realization comes all of a sudden that things are falling apart and you are helpless.

The Reality

We run in a competition for most part of our life, to get good marks, to become professionally successful, to accumulate money and fame, to being loved and we compare what others have and we don’t, we rarely see what we have and others don’t. Life seems most beautiful and meaningful to those who are at peace, that internal peace, very few people attain that and one of the biggest step towards finding that peace is having a balance in life, having a routine, having boundaries which serves as a self guide for you. I’m not going to define those boundaries for you, it is something you decide for yourself in the end your conscious knows what you are doing is right or wrong.

How to get there…

The solution to every problem in life is to get to the base or root cause of the problem. The longer the problem remains unidentified, the more time it takes to find a solution for it; it takes time because all this while you were further burying that problem with your self-damaging actions. Sometimes it is better to discuss your issues with a non judgmental person who doesn’t know you personally, that’s when a psychologist or psychiatrist steps in, they give you an advice which is in your best interest as sometimes you fail to recognize what really is benefiting you and what is harming you. People who deal with their problems are considered brave rather than those stereotyped fools, who believe going to a psychology expert harms their image. Go people reflect on things, is your life balanced? If not what you are waiting for, start looking at the problems and seek help from an expert, you seek help of an expert even when your car breaks down, this is your life and you think about seeking help? It’s your life. Wake up.
